Landed was created using the 'Levelling up' fund from the Department for Education. This was based on the Sussex Local Skills Improvement Plan and its recommendations. More information can be found on the 'About' page.
The funding behind Landed was awarded to address the skills shortage in Sussex and connect FE College's and sixth form colleges with local employers. FE Sussex represent 16 Colleges across Sussex where Landed was rolled out to. Landed can be used by anyone in Sussex, who is looking to find a new opportunity.
If you are looking for a new opportunity or just want to explore the app, simply go to your app store and search 'Landed Jobs' or follow the link on the 'Landed App' page. There you will be prompted to 'sign up' and you will need to follow the registration steps. Make sure to click the link on the registration email.
No, Landed is an app only. Only the employer platform is via a website.
Connect is the web based platform for businesses to register and add new opportunities. More information can be found on the 'Employers' page.
Cohort is a web based platform which our participating colleges use to provide career support to their Learners. If you are interested in using cohort as a business, please contact support@landedjobs.co.uk.
Any business in Sussex or surrounding areas can register on web.landedjobs.co.uk and they will need to register and pass our security checks. Once registration is complete, a business can go on to create their profiles, add more users and add new opportunities.
No, Landed is completely Free! There are no sign up fees or additional costs for app users and employers can add unlimited opportunities at no cost.
All app users will be asked to add their experience and include what skills they developed and the dates. They will also be able to select the specific qualification they achieved. This can then match with the skills, experience or qualifications an employer has specified on an opportutnity. The algorithm will 'match' you when searching the jobs board. There will be a visual indicator showing what percentage you match on skills, qualifications or experience.
Yes! If you have a social media page then you can use the link to that account when registering on Landed.
App Questions
You can find work experience, volunteering roles, part time jobs, apprenticeships and careers on the Landed App.
If you have signed up on the Landed app, you will receive a registration email from support@landedjobs.co.uk. If you have not received this, please check your junk folder. If no email has been received, check your email address has been entered correctly. If a problem persists, please contact support@landedjobs.co.uk.
When on the home screen, click the profile icon in the top hand corner and there you can follow prompts to complete your profile. This can then be downloaded as a CV in PDF format.
You will need to complete registration before accessing the personality test. Then you can find it in your profile section under 'My i3'.
Yes, in the settings tab (in the profile section), you can choose to hide your photo, last name, email address, phone number or driving license information.
Yes, when on the main profile page, press and hold on the item you want to delete and a 'bin' icon will appear in the top bar.
Definitely! Employers want those transferable skills, however you have achieved them. Use the experience tab to enter how you have achieved your skills whether through education, extra curriculum activities or other life experiences. This way the skills added will be included in the algorithm when matching you to an opportunity.
Once you have found an opportunity you want to apply to, you can click 'Apply' and you will be given the option to apply with profile, add a message or a cover video and click 'submit'.
Sometimes employers prefer applications to be made through their websites and you will therefore be directed to an external page. You will need to download your CV and this can then be uploaded to the external recruitment page.
When an employer uses the application management system you will get notified on the app whether you have been shortlisted, rejected or invited to an interview. The employer will need to follow up with you directly either via the inmail chat, email or by phone.
There is tons of support and free advice online. If you are still in education, speak to your careers team or contact your local job centre. Support can found from your local authority or county council websites too.
Unfortunately not, we can not support those under 16 but recommend using your school or local authority to assist on career advice. Or speak to one of our participating colleges.
Connect Questions
Every company has to pass our security checks, this is does by the team who need to verify the business. As this is does in person, it is not always an immediate process but we make sure we can provide access as quickly as possible. You will be contacted if there are any issues and will receive an email once registration is complete.
Once you have registered, on the main page dashboard, there is a green button 'Add Opportunity', you will then be prompted to select either a Job, Apprentice or Experience. Then follow the step-by-step process on the screen.
You cannot upload an advert but it is easy to copy and paste text into the description box and include links, pictures and videos.
Yes, there is the option to select 'Apply with website' when using the step-by-step process online. Applicants will then be redirected to your site when they click apply. Unfortunately the applicant management system will not be usable if taken to external site.
When reviewing applicants, you can 'drag and drop' from the 'live jobs' page. When you click and hold on a cadidate, you can move them to the appropriate column i.e. rejected, invite to interview or offered job. This sends an instant notification to the applicant. You will need to follow up with details to the applicant if inviting to interview.
Landed is free to use for businesses and app users. The platform operates in other areas with a paid for function but this does not apply to Landed users.
Click on the settings icon and select add or edit users. From here you will be able to add more users. If you reach the limit of number of users, contact us to discuss how we can help.
